You know the temperature has been too low for too long when you go outside to get into the car and feel it's actually warm and then as you drive off, you see that the car thermostat reads 26 degrees. That's right. When this Mississippi girl saw the thermostat reading, she realized that her brain must be frozen or that she actually had mutated into some weird version of a Stepford Wife if 26 really did feel warm. And this is also why MAC has had to agree to never make me move any further north.
"Bup" is Fidget's word for "up."
She began using animal sounds yesterday!!! And she's repeated them again today--she now says "oooo" for "moo." But a sheep's "baa" is still a little confusing for her...it's more of a high-pitched squeal (think a cross between a dolphin or a pig). Yeah, we don't get it either, but she's been consistent with that one, too.
And at playgroup today, she referred to one of her friends by name after she heard his mother call his name.
