Our first "snow" day of the year

Yes, it's February 14th, and we're just now having our first "snow" day. However, we have very little. There's barely enough on the ground to cover the grass. We're in the middle of a sleet and ice storm. Schools are closed; therefore, our music class was canceled. It's only 9:20, and we already have cabin fever. It's going to be a long day. Daddy's working from home today, and we're glad he's here and not trying to brave the roads, but at the same time it creates another layer of aggravation. If Daddy is home, Fidget wants to be where he is, and that makes it difficult for him to get his work done. So, I'm busy trying to keep her distracted.

So...here's hoping that the ice passes quickly and that we actually get some snow. The sled Fidget got for Christmas is begging for some action! It's been taunting us. That's what we get for trying to be prepared. Buy a sled so that you're not fighting everyone in the store for the last one on the shelf during the first big snow fall, and what do you get? A winter with NO SNOW!

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you, by the way!

How ironic - Birmingham had our "first snow" on the same day. Of course, ours didn't stick - but we could see it falling while we were driving in to work and pre-school.
