We've already established the Fidget likes to clap: The cousin's wedding in October where she spontaneously stood up and quietly clapped as the bridesmaids walked down the aisle; the clapping game she learned from MAC's Aunt and Uncle. She claps along to her music, repeating things she has learned in the Music Together class. She likes to take the your hands by the pinkies or thumbs and clap your hands together for you. And what does she do when she hears applause on the TV or radio? She will stop whatever she is doing to join in. Sometimes she'll glance at the TV or the source of the cheering and clapping to see whatever the fuss is about, but no matter whether she can "see" what it's about or not, she will clap too. She can even be very close to drifting off to dreamland and hear applause on the TV (if she's curled up with Mom for a nap) and she'll still raise her hands, with her eyes still closed, and very tenderly clap those adorable little hands. Everyone deserves applause and praise, right?

Oh, man, I hate to sound so "me too!", but Tooter will do the same thing if he hears applause! It's really funny, unless he's aaalllmost asleep, and wakes himself up to clap with the good folks on the t.v.!
