Listen to me!

Fidget is making certain that it is clear she is the center of attention for Daddy when she is in the room. We were sitting at the dinner table, with Fidget on my lap as she sometimes does near the end of the meal. Kd was telling me something important when Fidget decided that was a great time to tell me about Hook and the crocodile and Peter Pan and Wendy and started babbling away. I politely asked her to wait to talk because Mommy was already talking. After a brief look of consternation in my direction, she looked back at her mother and very clearly said, "Stop talking, Mommy. Stop talking, Mommy." After all, Kd was improperly taking Daddy's attention and holding up a much more important discussion of the plot of Peter Pan!
