Linus has never been the one to enjoy trips - Fidget is the world traveler of the two without a doubt. Getting there (or back home) is not half the fun for him. This past summer, Nannie and Pere came up to visit and took Fidget back to MS with them. Kd and Linus drove down together a few days later to spend some time in MS and retrieve Fidget while I stayed home and worked.
On the way down, somewhere around the Tennessee/Virginia border, Kd started getting two or three lines of the Avengers cartoon song over and over and over again from Linus, for a very long time. It might have been Alabama before he found something new the way Kd recalls it.
On the way back, about 15 minutes away from the house, Linus asked, "how much longer Mom?", to which Kd replied, "15 minutes." Linus then muttered, "Ohhh. I never should have gone to Mississippi."
