Fidget got one of her best presents the day after Christmas when Grandma & Papa arrived from Rochester with presents from their relatives up North. Aunt Mollie and Uncle Mike gave her a dress designing kit with a mannequin and foldable fabric. She quickly created several designs, came up with a store name (potential trademark conflict with a kids' hair salon) and created a store sign. She revised the store name a little, to A Snip in a Snap, before making the sign to hang in our window so that folks driving by the house will see it and stop in to buy dresses.
Of course, the whole enterprise relies on someone funding her or getting material for free, and getting Grandma to work for free as her master seamstress and keep up a pretty good production pace. Fidget has a pretty good sense of compassion that shows through these ideas - she usually plans to give away the items she thinks up to people who can't afford them to help.
